Copy link. We got annual performance reviews once a year but they only do them one time a year, not after a year from when you started. This resulted in my first real review being just short of 2 years after I had started employment. I excelled in every area, and my managers approved. However, when the results were sent to corporate I was not approved for a raise.
There was no reason given. At this point in time, new hires were actually making more than I was. My managers had my back and together we decided that the only way I could get the raise was if I quit for a month and got re-hired at a higher wage corporate policy being that you cant re-hire until 30 days had passed.

I did just that, and after being out if work for a month I was hired at about a dollar more. Such is corporate! Again, I absolutely loved that job and my managers were awesome. While my time working wasn't awful but it wasn't fun. I am a minor. I quit asap! Great company to work for and great benefits PTO benefit sick time paid off plus bonus, the environment was great great opportunity to grow in the company. Your experience matters.

First the people who work there are amazing, the managers help me a lot with the process of the new employer, and with the week of training I was more than ready to start working on my own. Pros: Cafe Rio as a company is great they offer good benefits paid training and plenty of opportunities to grow. Cons: At this location there is a lot of favoritism, no communication or teamwork. The restaurant is a very stressful place to work but the employees always work as a team.

I will be picking up my first and only paycheck from the company when it is ready. You won't survive the tough and rugged atmosphere. This is a young and healthy person's job. If you're on the older side like I am, this would not be advisable.

Yes No 1. They don't give you a break unless you demand one they say you get raises every 6 months big lie an when you ask for a raise they tell you your making to much. Yes 1 No. They over work you so much and pay you very little, it wasn't a very fun job. I was suppose to be their as a part time and was working full time.
They never wanted to give me days off because other people wouldn't show up to their jobs. Yes 2 No. There was too much stress for a manager to be completely absent always. I never had a manager to rely on when it came to needing them. I had to learn how to deal with customer problems without them all the time.
I'm pretty sure the whoever reads this will know who I am. I've worked for the company for a year and five months. At the busiest time for the call center, I made the company so much money, that they can at least give everyone who put their time and effort a raise, but I guess hard work and doing overtime doesn't mean jack.
The reason why I was let go was because of tardiness and absences. The final time I called in sick is because of mental issues and when I arrived the next day, they gave me a suspension one day suspension before my vacation, which is understandable. Once I arrived back from my vacation, I clocked in and the screen showed "no longer employed".
