We have just returned from a trip to New England, two nights of which were spent at this 'luxurious historic accomodation'. After checking in at the smart main hotel you are invited to drive a block down the road to the 'historic inn' on the other side of the road.
Here you are greeted by - absolutely nobody. There are no staff or facilities for guests. We lugged our cases to the back door where the key card which we had been given failed to work. Back up the road for another key. Having then struggled up the old staircase with our luggage we juggled with the room lock to gain access to our room. Disappointed doesn't come close. The 'antique furnishings' and 'fine oriental rugs' were tired and tatty. The electrical system had cables trailing all over the place which represent safety hazards. The heating did not work, the TV did not work, the air conditioning did not work, the wallpaper was peeling and one window had 4 cracked panes in it.
After a night when the temperature dropped to 0, we woke up to a very cold room indeed. The resort can also arrange to send you off on a 30 minute Land Rover Driving experience to blow off some steam. Weekends require a two night minimum. The package needs a seven day notice. Based on availability and blackout dates may apply. Seasonal package from May to October.

Great facility greens in very poor condition rest of course excellent friendly staff mountain views on every hole. Greens not in very good shape, bunkers full of rocks and gravel, not sand. Great views, fun holes. Great round! Too bad it was not a great day, drizzled through out round.
Only negative is the greens were not in the best shape.. I expect they will improve this summer. Not bad for early season golfing.
