My wife, my 6 year old son, and I visited the Mega Maze, our first time ever. Apparently this year, November 9th is the last day of the season. This year's theme, which changes yearly as does the maze , was "Go for the Gold! Apparently, managing the maze can take from 45 minutes to 3 hours, depending on what "intensity level" you choose ie whether you try to find all the clues and solve all the puzzles.

There are workers throughout the maze, who can give you hints about how to proceed, but it did get a little frustrating at times. A few words of caution: depending on weather, there can be a some mud present although they place boards over those areas and the ground is quite rocky, so be sure that you have appropriate footwear.

There are Porta-Potty's within the maze, but probably not frequently enough for young kids ie year olds. The end of the maze was a welcome sight, and they even give you a souvenir coin at the end. Davis Farmland is a great place to spend the day with your kids. The farm consists of typical farm animals; sheep, goats, cows, chickens, donkeys, rabbits, and llamas.

At most times during the spring and summer, there are also lots of baby animals.

The best part about the farm is that kids are able to enter animal pens and pet and feed the animals. The animals are gentle and friendly. Additionally the farm has other activities for kids, hay rides, pony rides although the line can get a bit long for this , and multiple play areas that keep kids busy for hours, a self-serve face painting area. On the weekends, there are often entertainers, such as clowns or magicians. In the summer, there is a large splash pad where kids and adults can cool off.

This consists of multiple shower heads and sprays of water for kids to run through. There is no pool or standing water. My daughter has enjoyed this attraction from ages and still going strong. There are two snack bar areas for food and ice cream, but these are not agressively placed. Additionally there is a small gift shop-but again, merchandising is not aggressive. There are multiple areas with shaded picnic tables for brining your own lunch. Plenty of rest rooms, wash stations, and hand sanatizers throughout the farm.

The staff are friendly and great at getting kids involved with and learning about the aniamls. There is a wrist band system for safety-ensuring that the adults leaving with children are the same ones that brought them in. This attraction has it over zoos in my book, because there is so much for the kids to interact with, rather than just viewing animals.

Davis Farmland is a great place to spend a few hours or the entire day! We tlive in Maine and wanted to take our 3 year old son to a farm to see the spring animals. I am English and there are many such places in the UK. We will be going back this year with out now 5 yr old son and 2 yr old daughter. The selection of animals is fanastic but the farmland has also pt on a fre other activities throughout to keep the little ones entertained, including a sprinkler section for those hot summer days.
