Biggest thing that bugs me about the normal season passes is that no matter when you buy it in the year, it expires at the end of the year. Often it does get cheaper later in the year, but you're still paying for only part of a year.

This is just a regular theme park with large price tags. Just compare it to Disney. The tickets are cheap if you try to make them cheap. Season passes are the way to go though. The water park will hit capacity in the afternoon, so if you want to get wet, go early to hurricane harbor. I urge you to buy flash pass if possible on crowded days. Haunted houses cost extra, but there is a season haunted house pass wich is good. Express is the way to go with houses. Overall, this is a good standard theme park. My co-worker and I went here in the summer a few months after I started work. They have a Discover Card line for card holders. There was absolutely no line, so we didn't waste the first 30 minutes waiting in lines.

When we went there was a roller coaster that was closed due to inclement weather, even though it wasn't raining.
