We arrived for our 3pm sitting and our set table was waiting for us.

Within moments they were taking our order for drinks and said our platters will follow shortly. I had ordered 3 platters between the 4 adults and 3 children and asked for just plain ham and cheese on the platter for the children. Unfortunately there had been some misunderstanding between the lady I had phoned to book and pre-order and myself and only 1 platter and a half platter arrived and no plain sandwiches.
I always say you can really judge a place by the way they handle a mishap!! Well Palmers top marks to you for the way in which you handled yourselves today!! Martine was exceptional in resolving the matter and made our afternoon tea with friends fantastic! They even got to take home a goodie bag of bits left over for their journey back to Preston!!! Vilma was fab on the till at the end too. I look forward to returning again for afternoon tea with Granny C.
Thanks again. Visited here several times and the food is always well presented, good value and tempting. A reliable stop for a snack or lunch. I have been to Palmers many times, the food is always very nice and they have a great selection on home made cakes. Plenty of tables and ok for taking pushchairs. Own or manage this property?
