If you can look past the seedy location and dimly lite sketchy parking garage then the questionable crowds that seem to conjugate around the unlocked at night front door will definitely make you feel unsafe. The shower literally soaked the floor and I was afraid to walk in the carpet without my shoes. We slept ok but were awaken by the dumpster being picked up right out side our window at 7am.
When my husband asked where we could get some she told him to walk to Publix When we were ready to check out we went to the counter where we waited for 20 minutes for the clear incompetent front desk person was attempting to help another customer. Literally took 30 minutes to get our parking validated. We ended up having to leave the hotel for breakfast since the breakfast was literally inedible. Soup like eggs, Canadian bacon that was sitting in some mystery juice, and stale pastries.
No thanks. We definitely more from Marriott. Do not stay here unless you want to be mugged, mistreated by staff or get some mystery illness from the room or food. Read more.

There are 3 pillows for each queen bed. The room was clean and comfortable. There was good water pressure in the shower. The thermostat can be set digitally so it is easy to keep the room at a desired temperature. All the TV channels were non-HD. The free WiFi was adequate. I parked in the garage. Breakfast was standard with waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, pastries, coffee, juice, etc.

Although not clean enough either older furniture, trash in elevators from night before at ? Clocks outdated. Front desk manager came out to help in line and with phones showed no empathy towards overwhelmed staff employee I notice kindness towards staff as much as kindness to paying guests ….

It was close by some amazing places, there was plenty to do at the hotel with a pool and restaurant, the rooms were so spacious, etc. If you are looking for a Birmingham hotel, you should definitely consider this one. It's all about the details - OK. I was in town for an overnight football game and being the Hilton loyalist I found the Hilton downtown Birmingham. As most Hiltons this was originally a traditional hotel which has had an update at some point. The room was great and even the brown bag room service was good after a long hot day in the sun.
