I have never written a review before but I felt like I had to pass the word on this place.
Jasmine Buffet in Charlotte, NC - Local Coupons October
This was our first visit and I hate to say it but the food was horrible. Cheese sticks were dry, the fried oysters were dry, along with many other things. So I thought I would just have a salad. The dressing was not homemade so it was ok but I could have stayed home and had better.
Certain staples like Mac n cheese and French fries were, in 4 kids words, "gross! The fries were hard. The steak was horribly dry. We could have stayed home and had store brand frozen pizza and it would have been better than the pizza at Jasmine. Even the desserts were dry and tasted off. The banana pudding was bad : I was so sad about that! We tried a lot of things looking for somerhing good. We didn't find it :.
They should focus a lot less on the quantity of items if the quality is bad. I for one would appreciate less choices if the choices availible were tasty. We will never go back :! We were hoping to find a cool local family restaurant. Unfortunately due to the poor quality of food Jasmine will not be that cool place.

The restaurant is in the building of grocery and thrift store. The outside doesn't look like much but the inside is very nice and clean. Wide variety of food with good taste to be buffet. The service here was very good.

The young men at the cashier stand seemed genuinely appreciative of our patronage, making a point to speak to us as we exited the building. Food was typical Chinese buffet with emphasis on chicken dishes. A lot of chicken dishes.

Most disappointing was the General Tso's Chicken. Had absolutely no pepper heat at all! Did not utilize the hibachi nor the sushi bar.
I really enjoyed the lo mein. The restaurant is very spacious and nicely decorated. I would go back with hopes that they would correct the problem with the General Tso's Chicken. The first tip that this wasn't going to be a good restaurant was when you had to pay before you got a seat. The food was barely average. Yes I have finally had bad banana pudding the fried shrimp was uncooked and doughy everything else was bland. To finish out our visit the waitress came by and on my receipt take was laying on the table circled the part of the receipt that said tip not included.
