There were two reasons I gave this 4 instead of 5 starts, however. First, the relaxation room has much to be desired! Other spas I have been to, allow guests to spread out and put their feet up. Spa Fjor's room is very small and cramped, with only enough room for people and you are practically on top of each other. With all the money they put into the spa, one would think the relaxation room would have had a little more forethought. Also, when we ate at the pool, the food took almost an hour for a cheese pizza and salad with salmon on top.
The food was mediocre at best when it came. And the pool area definitely needs new rugs and upholstery on their furniture! With a hotel of this caliber, rusty ceiling vents and moldy couches do not match the decor. But, to end on a positive note, the services at the spa were well worth it!
My husband wanted a relaxing weekend getaway for his birthday so when we found a groupon deal for Hotel Viking that was also a spa resort, we booked immediately. The spa itself is very expensive but they ran some specials so make sure you check groupon, living social, and travelzoo before you book.

He enjoyed the massage but our wallet not so much. Very worth it. Because the spa closed at 8, we took the meal and ate it by the firepit in the center of the hotel.
The girl who checked us in allowed us to do the infrared sauna together and even took us in sooner. The locker rooms had a lot to offer from showers to steam rooms to hair dryer to mouthwash to hairspray to combs, etc whereas other spas that I've been to only have the massage and that was it. The showers were very clean. The waiting room was nice and they offered a variety of tea and snacks while we waited for our massage. Both masseuse were very well trained and attentive to our needs. After the spa, we were given a glass of champagne.
I think it was part of the weekday special that I had purchased, but I think they should do this all the time because who wouldn't like a glass of champagne after a nice relaxing massage, right? A group of friends and I recently visited the Spa Terre at this hotel. We all had massages by Susan Then we moved on to having pedicures with Rebecca We all have such a fun, relaxing time here!

Warmly greeted. Given sandals and nice robe. Locker room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. Therapists were friendly, soft spoken, and most importantly, properly trained and experienced.

Wife had deep issue. I had Swedish. We were both very satisfied. Lingered afterwards enjoying steam room and lemon water. We weren't rushed, and it was exactly what we needed on our yearly night away from 2 young children. We would recommend and gladly return. Great little spa as my wife and I had a couples massage. They went the extra mile putting heated towels on your back and feet, eye mask when you flipped and asked you if the pressure was right. Ive been there 2x and will be back! Great overall experience at this great spa in the Hotel Viking.
This is a beautiful hotel with very attentive staff going overboard to assist you.
