Any good tips for anything that will help our holiday that much better. We are bringing 6 kids ages 2 16 2 14, 8, 5 year olds. Thnaks so much. We are from Boston, MA and love it there. We have stayed at Kalahari the last 2 visits and find it wonderful. We have four children and have stayed in the Nomad room and a family room. The Nomad room is cheaper. It has two queen beds and sleeper sofa, fire place, table chairs etc. Most importantly it has a balcony which is necessary in my opinion to dry all towels and bathing suites.

As far as Cedar Point goes. Might I suggest the two day pass. I think that might be cheaper for you.
We get that every year. Have a wonderful time. We love it there!! Just a FYI Great Wolf Lodge is the waterpark resort that has discounts using a Kroger supermarket card. We are booked at Kalahari next Thurs. July 2nd. You can look up Kalahari on Facebook. Use the arcade or the water park. Plenty of warm changing areas, hot showers, etc. If you happen to run into someone in the park or arcade who tells you they got a better price on a comparative or better room, you can complain to the desk clerk that you didn't get the discount when you checked in, and more than likely they will rebill your room!

Even if your have to pay full rack rate, it is well worth it, except on crowded days. Go at lunch and dinner, ride the lazy river and less extreme rides while others go to lunch You can get a tan under their glassed in roof, or swim outside to the hot tubs. The water is always warm, and so is the inside air, even in winter. Warm up your thigh muscles because you do a lot of stair climbing and bouncing in the water. Expect for your kids to get lost. Pick an upper deck table with umbrella and forget about them, if they are of age not to fall victim to preditors, you never know. Mine are in their teens now, but many let their 5th graders on up roam wild.
Plenty of lifeguards who are always on it! Parents can hang out in one spot and let their kids go wild.
Plenty of potties, and you can bring a large bag of food up to the upper deck and eat there to save lots and lots of money. The hotel is always booked on weekends, and like much of Sandusky is dead on tuesday and wednesdays during the fall and winter.
