We have lived in Salt Lake for over 50 years so we don't often stay in our own hotels. However, we have decided that we should do it more often since it is like a very convenient short vacation. The hotel is in a great location for visitors since Temple Square, City Creek and Gateway Malls, and the Convention Center are within a few minutes walking distance.

The rooms are modern and very quiet. The TV has many interesting free channels and is of the best HD quality. Spencer Steak. House provides a great meal for a reasonable price as does the Trofi restaurant for a delicious buffet breakfast. The staff were very nice and helpful. Being animal advocates we were very impressed with the pet friendly policy of the hotel and the fact that only cage free eggs are used for breakfast at the Trofi restaurant.
We may well stay there again ourselves next year but will certainly recommend it to our out of town visitors.

Not the quality I'd expect from a Hilton. Our hotel room need remodeled; the ceiling in the bathroom was falling down, the fitness center was not available either.
The room reminded me of a Super 8, not a Hilton. The bed was what I would have expected from a budget chain, at least there was a big tv though! On behalf of the team, I wish to apologize for not meeting your expectations. I am hoping you let us know about the challenges in your room, and that we were able to provide a suitable alternative to the room you described. I also hope that you were told about the complete renovation that our fitness facility is undergoing, including all new equipment. We are nearly finished with the upgrades, and I can confidently state that people are going to be impressed.

Beautiful hotel right in the heart of Salt Lake City. Location is perfect for access to many points of interest in Salt Lake City. You can easily walk to shopping, Trax stations, entertainment and many food establishments.

Many guests comment that the hotel is near a homeless shelter as well as a public park that seems to be a popular site for some illegal activities. Guests often report feeling uncomfortable walking in the neighborhood, especially after dark, and note that the indoor parking garage is not particularly secure.
Guests have expressed disappointment in the overall quality and limited selection on offer at the complimentary breakfast, and many describe the offerings at the evening social as "appetizers" as opposed to the "light dinner" available at other Homewood Suites locations.
